For more information about degrees offered in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences and career opportunities, please contact:
Marlene Israelsen – NFS Academic Advisor
marlene.israelsen@usu.edu, 435-797-2131, NFS 222.
If you want to expand that, here's what else I do...
- Help students identify a major that matches their interests and abilities
- Assist in planning an academic schedule that meets graduation requirements
- Introduce & refer students to appropriate University resources, services, & faculty
- Provide information about careers, internships, jobs, and research opportunities
- Orient students to University requirements, policies, & procedures
- Authorize eligible students into NFS courses as needed
- Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and administrators
I also sign lots of papers (Change of Matriculation, Graduation Applications, Authorization forms, etc) and hand out Kleenex’s to stressed-out students (especially if they're in Organic Chemistry) .
